Introduction
Established to foster unity and collaboration among media professionals, the Democratic Press Club (DPC) is a not-for-profit organization representing journalists, editors, publishers, and media professionals across diverse platforms, including print, electronic, web, and social media. The DPC’s mission is to protect, promote, and enhance independent journalism while supporting democratic values, social development, and grassroots journalism initiatives.

The Democratic Press Club is dedicated to developing quality journalism that serves as a cornerstone for democracy and social progress. We work closely with policymakers and stakeholders to create a conducive environment for the growth of media in India and beyond. Who Can Join the Democratic Press Club?

Membership is open to:

• Full-time Media Professionals: Journalists, editors, publishers, photographers, and reporters.
• Freelancers and Media Contributors: Freelance journalists, writers, bloggers, and public relations professionals.
• Organizations: Media organizations, NGOs, and ventures supporting the mission of the Democratic Press Club.
• Students: Media students pursuing higher education or studying in journalism schools.

All applications are subject to approval by the Membership Committee headed by the General Secretary of the Club.
